What we collect, and why

Estimate requests

When you send the estimate form, we receive what you type: your name, phone number and/or email, town, the kind of job, timing, how you found us, and your description. The form also records the time you sent it. We use this to reply, to prepare an estimate, and to do the work if you hire us.

Calls, texts and email

If you call, text or email, we have your number or address and whatever you send, including photos. Same purpose: to answer you and do the job.

During a project

Jobs involve your address, access details, and sometimes photos of your home for estimates, permits or before-and-after records. Photos of finished work appear on this site only in a way that doesn't identify you or your address, and we'll ask first if there's any doubt.

Where it goes

The estimate form is delivered by email to Matt's business mailbox, which is hosted by IONOS, our web and email host, on servers in the United States. Matt reads it on his phone and computer. Nothing is sold, rented or shared for marketing. We share details with a trade partner only when your project involves one, and only what they need to do the work.

How long we keep it

Estimate requests and messages are kept for up to one year after the last contact, longer if you hire us, because job records, estimates and warranty details need to stick around. Tax and business records are kept as Michigan and federal law require.

Spam protection and server logs

To keep bots out, the estimate form uses a hidden field, a timing check, and a rate limit. The rate limit stores a salted, one-way hash of the sending address for a short period; the address itself isn't stored. Like every website, our host keeps standard server logs (IP address, pages requested, browser type) for security and troubleshooting; those are governed by IONOS's retention practices.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. There is no analytics script, no advertising pixel, no embedded social widget, and no chat tool. Fonts are served from our own server, not from a font network. Because nothing non-essential is stored on your device, there's no cookie banner to click away. If that ever changes, this page will say so first, and you'll be asked.

Your choices

• You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, unless we need to keep it for a job in progress or for legal or tax reasons. Email info@lind.construction.
• You don't have to use the form; call or text instead.
• Links to other websites (for example, the State of Michigan) take you to sites with their own privacy practices.

Children

This site is for adults arranging work on their homes. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change how the site handles information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
